Conversations with The Little Prince

Little Prince found himself in an elegant world.  Then he saw a girl.

Little Prince:  Who are you?

Beauty Queen:  What?! Don’t you know me?

Little Prince:  I’m sorry, do I have to know you?

Beauty Queen:  Of course!  Everyone knows me, because I’m the most beautiful creature in the universe.  I’m the Beauty Queen.

Little Prince:  Nice to meet you, so what are you doing?

Beauty Queen:  I’m looking in the mirror just to see the prettiest thing in the universe.

Little Prince:  Oh, really!  Can you see something like that, because I can’t, I can only see you!

Beauty Queen:  How dare you!  Leave this planet, right now!  I don’t want to see you here!

Little Prince:  Okay, calm down.  I’m leaving, but I want to say something.

Beauty Queen:  It is me!

Little Prince:  I think my rose is more beautiful than you.

Beauty Queen:  Go away!

And Little Prince leaves the planet and he continues his journey.

Sandglass:  Hey, little boy! Come here!  What are you doing?

Little Prince:  I’m on a journey and I was just passing by.  Actually I’m surprised, I didn’t notice you.  Who are you?

Sandglass:  I’m the limited time.  When my sand reaches the bottom, many people remember their regrets.

Little Prince:  Why?

Sandglass:  Because the time would be over for them.  You must be careful too, soon you’ll get older.  You should hurry up to reach your desires.

Little Prince:  Getting old?!  What do you mean?

Sandglass:  When my sand falls, people grow up.  That means you are getting old.  Most of the time, people become regretful because of growing up and they want more time to live, but I can’t turn myself up and down.

Little Prince:  I’m sorry for these people.  Fortunately, I’m not one of them. Then, I should hurry up to see these people because their time is limited.

Sandglass:  Ok, little boy, I don’t understand what you mean, but go, it’s good to be in a hurry.  Good luck!

Little Prince has already gone.

Vain Man: Welcome my dear fan. Are you here to adore me?

Little Prince: Hi. Such a beautiful planet.

Vain Man: Can I hear your applause?

LP: Why?

Vain Man: Because I’m the most handsome man on this planet.

LP: Aren’t you alone in this planet?

Vain Man: Yes.

Little Prince: Therefore you are also the ugliest and poorest man on this planet.

Vain man was shocked, by the time Little Prince decided to leave because of vain mans arrogant behaviors. While he was leaving, he suddenly saw a white rose. He tried to talk to her.

Little Prince: I have never seen a white rose before.

White rose didn’t answer.

Little Prince: I think vain man doesn’t know that you are here.

White Rose: Yes,he only cares about himself.I’m about to die.

LP: I have something that might be good for you.

WR: Thanks, but I can survive by myself.

LP: I insist.  Please take my help.

WR: Okay.Thanks.

LP: I have a rose too but it is red.

WR: She must be beautiful.I think I am the ugliest rose that ever existed.

LP:No, you are not you are so unique.I need to go now .I hope this water helps.Bye.

Little Prince left the planet and landed on a planet where a sculpture lives.

Sculpture: Who is there?

LP: I’m little Prince. What is this?

Sculpture: It depends on what you see.

LP: I see a masterpiece of an artist who hasn’t been discovered yet.Why your eyes are closed?

Sculpture: I don’t need my eyes to see, I can see through my heart.

LP: How could you do that even though you are blind?

Sculpture: I am not blind, blind people are the ones, who have killed the child in theirselves.

LP: I see.It was such an inspiring day for me, but I have to go now.I’m leaving this scarf here so that you won’t ever forget me and remain as a child.

Where I Am Now

Changing school was not as difficult as I thought. Most of the students thought that there will be many problems to face. I agree with them on one point that  there will be things to face but these won’t be only about school life. Yes, there will be good days and bad days, however being a student in this school is one of the best things in my life up to now. I have changed in good ways and felt different about my lessons, friend and my spare time when I came to high school.

High school makes us have new knowledge and also makes us aware of all kind of important subjects through lessons. For me this is the start of life where I can get ready for the future. To achieve this goal I have to have good grades on exams, to push myself for the best I can do and prove myself on different platforms. I haven’t been a very successful student up to now; I am a great friend I guess.

Finding a real friend is not easy when you are an adult but in high school it’s the time for having close friends. In primary school, we didn’t used to have much to share. Instead, now we have much to talk about; our relationships with our parent, school, hobbies and that kind of stuff. In this school I won’t be alone at all. There are many close friends of mine who are really kind, helpful, thoughtful and funny. I think I am a so lucky for this reason. I also like the fact our school has less students than others.  Nowadays I have more to do in my free time with my friends.

Nowadays, I try to make active things in my spare time and I slowly feel better about the time running when I’m having good memories and experiences. Firstly, I didn’t used to know how important my free time was. I had used my free time wisely till the previous year. I am doing two sports together –tennis and volleyball- this year. I’m going to a tournament in March which will be inAntalya. I’ve got one volleyball and three tennis trainings per week. I love reading books as well as my passion for sports. Action novels ate the most suitable books for me. On the other hand, I like books which are written as a diary. I have many hobbies and stuff to do in my spare time.

The time that I spend on school is as great as my weekends. Sometimes studying gives me joy. It can be a strange idea for some of us but I totally love my school, friends and myself as a result. Being yourself is the most important thing in our academic and social life wherever you are.

Does War Have A Good Reason?

As you can understand from the banners on people who wear masks what this protest is about. Behind the picture, there are some banners which are against war, too. It is probably after a big war. These people with white and sad masks are saying something. White, what does it mean here? Why do our faces turn into white when we see something or someone in a terrible situation? Why do our faces turn into white when we are sick? Why does he/she wear a white dress when someone dies? White is all about light and the holes on them are black, meaning that you can see us in the light but what if we are in the dark? These faces don’t want help; they don’t want any harmful thing for the country; they just feel guilty about what has been done there. It wasn’t their fault but the soldiers went there to protect them. But if this war had a good reason, why would it get such a big reaction? Numbers, history, individuals can lie but this big unity with a cause can’t lie. If they lied, how could  they find so many people who think the same and and do something together for a good cause.

A Pair of Shoes

Look at this picture and tell what you see… There are people from different nations and they are holding their hands for unity. If these people from various nations can unite, then who still causes racism and why? Governments! They are like a pair of shoes: buildings with high heels, the ones with pointed toes, sandals etc. When you get in a shoe shop, you usually see lots of shoes. First you’ll pick the one that takes your attention; maybe it is uncomfortable or you want to try the others in order to make the right choice. Sometimes, you can find exactly what you want but there isn’t any shoe in your size. Finally you’ll pick one. The beautiful one’s heels will break and the one with the highest heels will keep you from seeing the real world because you will be too high up to see the bottom but you still pick them. I can give you lots of examples for it but the point is: Fabric makes up the shoes. Creating a shoe needs lots of hands; they can have everyone who they think important is but it is all about us. Without us, they will just wait for someone and until that day they won’t be able to walk, run or climb. This is what is happening here. These people have already bought each but now those shoes compress their feet. However, they can’t remove them so they are begging for a thing which is under their feet. We actually made all the problems happen. Now look at us, tall buildings with high-heeled shoes that do what they want, but not do what we need.

Tiger’s Pure And Innocent Intentions Under His Angry Looks

The tiger was walking on the snow skeptically.  His eyes were wide open and he was looking for his prey.  The smell of the prey was all around the weather.  He moved silently and there was tranquility.  There was the smell of the fear, and his prey didn’t know what to do.  The little deer was stunned and eventually she started to run as fast as she could.  However, the tiger was 100 times faster than the deer.  As the deer was walking, the tiger intercepted her and made her stop.  The little deer was full of fear and she gazed at the little tiger’s face.  She thought that she would be eaten in a minute.  However, it didn’t go like this.  The little tiger just wanted to play with the little deer; he was just like a little, naughty boy.  The fear turned into joy and happiness, two different species came together and played.

We should never judge people with their appearance, personality lies inside.

Death Alive – Part 3

INFINITY OF LOVE

While an old grumpy woman was gazing at the view of the ocean agonizingly, she was thinking about her long life.  She couldn’t believe how the difficulties of life hit her just like the angry waves hit the shore.  Life was so cruel to her.  It gave her some scars which were called wrinkles.  As soon as she looked at the mirror, she realized that she had lost the savor of life.  Those made her regretful because of letting her true love go with the wind to the endless life.  Then, she opened her old chest and suddenly the scream of the gun was heard.  Eventually, death held her tightly.

NOBODY KNOWS WHO I AM

It was raining when John arrived there.  It was a tiring, old, depressive and a dark place where people lost their soul.  Every time he came back to his room, darkness was waiting for him to take revenge.  Nobody knows or sees that darkness, but John; the darkness that makes him want to die…

John had been living in that room for 9 years and he had been thinking about the same thing for 9 years.  He had never been good enough for being a part of the social life, he was not a lonely man, but after his wife’s death, he became one.  He was questioning himself about the reason of the darkness.  Suddenly, he heard a memorable voice, which made him desperate.

He was always listening to the next rooms, voices, fights, whispers.  He always liked to listen to other people’s lives.  He was listening to the next room, looking from the window, people were living without him.

Suddenly, a cheerful voice turned into a scream which made him remember the past and how he killed his wife.  Everything made him remember his past.  He was living in the past.  He couldn’t go on with his life.  He couldn’t hold onto it either.  He was just with that darkness and related that darkness with his wife’s ghost.

Nobody knows where he is now.  Nobody has seen him for 9 years and nobody opened his door; they were afraid to, but I know he is everywhere and when the darkness comes, at night, he is invisible, but he comes with it, with the darkness and unhappiness.

No, you cannot see him, but know that he is in darkness now.  Even if I saw him, nobody has ever seen me or knows who I am.

THE MYSTERY OF THE LIGHTHOUSE

The darkness of the night had fallen.  The sound of the wind was whistling with the fierce waves.  The guard of the lighthouse was sitting on the bench.  The mystery of the lighthouse spread its fame all around the world.  People couldn’t see the visitors who were coming to the lighthouse.  The mystery of the lighthouse was increasing day by day.  So what was happening to people who went there?  One day, while the police cars were passing by the lighthouse, they heard a scream.  The policemen suddenly ran into the lighthouse and they saw the dead body of the girl.  From that they understood the mystery of the lighthouse, but nobody understood who killed these people and where the dead bodies were.

Death Alive – Part 2

The sunset

It was the time of sunset. I looked at the sky and

saw the last colors which had been left from

the sun. The sun was setting down greedily,

like wanting to take everything in the world with him

and bring them to his world. The lights were in a

dilemma between setting and staying as a skeptical

person does. As time went by, it waved at us longingly

and set quietly. Now, I should wait galdly for him to come back tomorrow.

                                                                                      Damla İlkgelen, Fen 2

The Grim Owl

That vengeful bird always flies over people. Nobody can stop it from spreading the cold winds of its wings. We always watch that bird; “the time” flying away from our hands and traveling around the universe. It may relieve graceful hopes and make beings rejoice, however, its cold wind takes souls greedily and spread “death” upon the Earth.

To be peaceful in our lives, we should take advantage of the Earth and watch that bird fly before the graceful moon or the caring sun…

 Can Kahyaoğlu, Fen 2

The birds were singing cheerfully. It was a perfect day to savor love. Time was mocking them. It was running so fast and giving agony to love. The trees were screaming at love, “Run away!”. Death was so close to them, as the time passed death was getting closer to love. At first, love was acting skeptical about it, but love had learnt that she had to run away from it. After awhile, love became weary of running away and eventually surrendered to death.

                                                                                      Alara Üker, Fen 2

Tsunami has killed many people in two countries. These are Indonesia and Japan. The waves have conquered some cities. But the stones or trees couldn’t protect people from death. Death got lots of people and escaped. As the time passed, hope left tham too. Waves murdered most of the people, and unfortunately the survivors coıuldn’t find their beloveds or friends. Fear has covered every part of their bodies and they have been waiting for help. The time is running against them…

                                                                                     Berkin Bolereden, Fen 2

Death approaches greedily, it comes suddenly and changes your life in a second. It is envious and vengeful, too. When it sees you happy with your life, it decides to take you beside it. When it takes you eagerly, it savors happiness. And this time it wins. It is cruel and just mocks us.

                                                                                      Miray Soydaş, Fen 2

     The lighthouse

He is so faithful to his home. He is always there for his

responsibilities. He is always there, longingly waiting for

the ships. Also, he is so understanding and helpful to

the people who wait for their beloveds there. He might

be the most hospitable one I’ve ever seen. He also lightens

the ships’ crews and people’s way for them to be able

to reach their destination. However, he is so self-sacrifing

that he will be forever alone…

Death Alive

It was a dark night. Death was walking around love. Death wanted to have love greedily. However, love didn’t want death. One day darkness covered the night. Love realized that death was approaching. Love was gazing at the distance longingly because she missed hope. When she had hope, she could reject death. She was afraid of the power of death because when death wanted a thing so much it would absolutely take it.

                                                                                               Meltem Uzunoğlu, 10-B

Death saw the people’s fearful looks, but there was one person who looked gladly at death as if he wanted to die. Death accepted his offer and took his soul. At that moment, trees were shaking their arms. There was a silence of death. Meanwhile, there was a kind-hearted tiger that wanted to play games with humans, but they were scared of it because of death. The tiger wanted to say to the people that death was only the beginning of a new life.

                                                                                               Burak Aydoğan, 10-B

Death woke up at the cold, dark night. He was hungry and a little grumpy. However, he started to walk and whistle on the street. He mocked many people who didn’t have time to live. Suddenly, he saw something strange. He had never seen such a graceful emotion. That was Hope, who was against Death. Hope blinked at him and walked away. Death felt revengeful. Hope was always taking children from him. While Death was walking around the children, Hope was always skeptical. Every time Death was the desperate loser and Hope was the winner. Death decided to leave that town because he needs to live where there is no Hope.

The waves In The Black Sea

The waves in theBlack Seaare very fierce.

It is very dangerous for people on boats and

ships. The waves don’t have bad intentions.

They are like that because of the cruel wind

in theBlack Sea. They are not happy with

killing people.

                                                                                               Yılmaz Dinçbal, 10-B

A New Day

… Today I woke up with happiness. I didn’t know why I wasn’t disturbed by this situation. I felt good because I guess my life was going to be better. I wore my clothes quickly and went out. I took a deep breath and started looking around me.

The golden Sun touched me with his quivering fingers and he spoke softly. He was smiling at me, so I thought he was happy like me.

The birds climbed the tree to see the pretty blue sky and began to sing a song to describe the beauty of the weather with pleasure, and the ocean seemed relieved after a fight with rocks. Then I thought that my life was like a dream. I hope this dream never ends…

How To Organize A Birthday Party

Are you confused about how to plan a perfect birthday party? Before the party, people must think carefully about preparing it so that the party is perfect because we celebrate them only once a year and we want that day to be the best day of the year. If we want a well-prepared party, the first thing that we should do is to select a place where the party will be. Secondly, decide on the concept of the party. Then, the most important step; invite the people who are your real friends. The perfect party doesn’t have to be so crowded; the lesser, the better. These steps can help us by making a very enjoyable party for us and the guests. However, if you want to add more things, be careful not to make the party too boring, and remember: the simpler, the better.

Can Koçkan, Fen 2

If you want to have a good party, you should follow these steps. First, find a place which is relaxing. It helps your friends enjoy more when they dance. Second, you should buy many types of drinks and food. More drinks and more food is more fun. Third, design the place so that it is more interesting. Then, invite your friends to the party. In the end, if you want to prepare a perfect party, the most important thing is the request of your guests.  You have to think of doing things that show extra care and you must make your friends happy.

Berk Aybey, Fen 2

Believe it or not, preparing a birthday party isn’t difficult. First of all, you need to make a guest list. You shouldn’t write so many names in the list because you want your guests to feel comfy in your place. Secondly, you have to go to the shopping mall top buy food items and decorations. Then, you have to prepare the meal. If you did these already, you would have a great party.

Onur Akça, Fen 2

If you want to experience a perfect party, you must organise everything carefully. First, you have to make a list of what you want to buy especially food and drinks. Then, you have to invite people who are close to the birthday boy/girl. Make sure if they come or not. Next, organise the house and make sure that you buy the birthday cake. Finally, you can surprise him/her when she/he arrives. It can be a great surprise party if you follow these steps.

Barış Temel, Fen 2

First of all, it mustn’t be so crowded so that you can enjoy it, too. People in your birthday must be the loved ones and those who you really want to see. Moreover, you must consider where you want to organize your birthday party rather than deciding on your own. There must be music of course. However, not too loud or quiet. In fact, you can be happy anywhere when you are with your friends. Nevertheless, better place means more fun.

Uğur Yıldızlı, Fen 2

Young Generation

I want to tell you about ‘younger generation’. Last week, I read an editor’s writing and a lot of people agree with her. She says;

I am worried about teenagers today. When I was a teenager, I was more responsible than today’s teenagers. After school, I had to do a lot of job at home. Today’s teenagers are lazier. They come home from school and then they play computer games for the rest of the day. They are couch potatoes. Teenagers in the past were more intelligent than now. They have less IQ. Their future seems very bad. ’

When I read the last sentences I was angry. How does she know that we have an easy life and what we do after school? Nobody can generalize this. People haven’t got a warranty like this. In my opinion, it is not all doom and gloom. I agree with her a very very little bit. I am just worried about today’s children’s games. Todays children do not play outside with their friends. They have got online friends. I think every children must play hide and seek, play football, play tag with their real friends. Whatever, when I come back to my matter, I say, she mustn’t talk like this. I didn’t like her writing. I think today’s teenagers are very intelligent. Adults are not really aware of our situation and technology. However, they gave these, they made, they created this technology. It is their crime. They had to think of ‘what would happen?’ If technology did not develop like this, everything could be hard for everyone. Sometimes technology is harmful, somtimes it is very necessary, they know it. Besides, enough is as good as feast. However, adults can not stand us.
